We had thunderstorms nearby last night from about 10pm until 3 am. They were off in the distance, far enough away to where I didn’t worry for my own safety – but in a direction that I had to wonder if the people in Mossyrock or Morton were in danger.

JessieDog (pictured in my header) isn’t very fond of thunder, to say the least. I wouldn’t have had any trouble sleeping through the storm (I sleep with my iPod earphones on most of the time), but JessieDog’s panting was making the bed shake as hard you would have thought I’d put a quarter into the slot. But I wasn’t about to tell her she had to sleep on the floor by herself when she was so obviously distressed.

So, this morning I’m in such a stupor that I’m not exactly sure what day it is. Marty left for California a day early this week because of the holiday, I’ve been running ahead or behind for the last couple of days. Although, if I’m honest with myself, I’d have to admit that I’ve also been in a bit of a creative haze. When I’m working on a new project, I skip meals, forget to brush my teeth, do chores, etc, etc. Ah well. On with life.

While I’m waiting for Morning Prayer to finish downloading, I’m trying to pick up where I left off last night in determining a direction for the class sample I am putting together.
