Spice Girls QOV Corp Meeting: Della Day

The picture (left) was taken on the way to Spice Girls, Fall is here! Is snow just around the corner for Morton and the mountains?

This was our second Quilts of Valor meeting, and though it was quiet, I count it as a rousing success. Our favorite Ruthless Quilter, Robin, and her granddaughter Gracie, Kathy Orr, Miss Della Bova (aka Jungle Spice), shop owner Linda and I were all in attendance.

Kathy whipped up a presentation pillowcase for Robin’s QOV quilt. I got a good start on our local FRG (Family Readiness Group) coordinator’s Comfort Quilt for her granddaughter. Robin’s granddaughter, Gracie, passed out mini Oreo’s – OMGoodness I miss Oreo’s – and charmed us all. Robin may be Ruthless, but she’s our friend! Time to pick out your Spice Girl name, Robin!

Della and her contribution to the Quilts of Valor was the highlight of our meeting. I am honored and blessed with such a friend as Della, we all are. Thank you for your generous gift!

I’ll be at the Sugar n’ Spice in Morton again tomorrow for my “Quilty Girl Purse” class. I can’t wait to see what everybody comes up with! I’ll post pictures tomorrow.
