Today’s Assignment: Your Email “Sent” File

Open up your email program, open up the “sent” file and click through the emails you have recently sent out. Try to get an overall idea of what kind of emails are going OUT of your computer. What are you sending out into the world? Go ahead, take a few minutes, I’ll wait for you right here.

Hi! Welcome back! So tell me, are you smiling? Energized in a good way? A destructive way? Are you drained of energy? Bored? Joyful? Feeling overwhelmed? Loved? Peaceful? Worried? Giddy? Confused? What?

Just what is it you are sending out into the world through your email?

Peace begins with you. Love begins with you. Hope begins with you. You have the power to obliterate Loneliness, to stamp out the Poverty of Plurality, and to annihilate a Soul’s Hunger for Community. Are you doing everything you can that is within your power to do so?

A few taps, clicks and a Send button can brighten up a Friend’s day. I know you know this because a Friend has brightened up YOUR day with the self-same clicks and taps.

And that’s all I’ve got to say about that. (I watched Forrest Gump yesterday – for the umpteenth time. Can you even pass by that movie without at least stopping to watch even one segment of the story? I, surely, cannot.) You know your assignment.

“Hope is like a road in the country; there was never a road, but when many people walk on it, the road comes into existence.” –Lin Yutang
