The Secret to Perfectly Pieced Eight-Pointed Stars & Set-in Y Seams

16eight-pointedstar1“The Secret to Perfectly Pieced Eight-Pointed Stars & Set-in Y Seams.” If you are a quilter, that headline has you nearly salivating for an answer.

I have the answer, but you’re not going to like it. Here goes:

“Cut accurately, sew accurately and handle the fabric gently while seaming and pressing.”

It’s that simple – and it’s that difficult.

How to Lose Weight & Feel Great

I’ve got the answer for that one too: diet and exercise.  There is no pill, no operation, no secret club meetings that will provide the results you are looking for except diet and exercise. Move around a lot and move around in many ways at many different speeds. Eat the food that God provided when he first formed the earth and leave the food that Hostess, Lays & the Red Baron created in the package, bag or box and in the store.

It’s that simple – and it’s that difficult.

The Secret to a Loving Relationship with God

Yes, I even have the answer to that one: time and energy. You have to put in the time and it takes energy (see diet and exercise above). Prayer is a great way to start. Regular daily (or twice daily or even three or four times daily) prayer and meditation will, I promise, WILL help to build a more loving, mutually giving and peace-bringing relationship with God.

Or how about regularly attending church and working to build relationships in a community of believers. Feed people, clothe people, visit them in jail (sounds familiar, somebody famous must have said that already). The secret is you have to do the work.

You have to do the work, that the hardest part of anything worthwhile: you have to do the work. What in your life is worth doing the work?

  1. Sorry, but I just had to comment that your quilt square is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. N.M.
