Two Feasts, a Website, & Another Clue

josephkoreancatholicThe Feast of St. Joseph: Today, March 19, we celebrate the life of St. Joseph. The image, at left, is from a Korean Catholic calendar that was given to me by my friend Susan – who is Korean and Catholic, don’cha know. ;o)

I had never really given Joseph much thought before. When I came to this image in the calendar, I have to admit I was a bit shocked to see adopted father and child portrayed in the same way as the Madonna and child. (Yes, in case you are wondering, I have been living under a rock, a Baptist rock.) I love this image, so soft and adoring, a sharing of peace and wonderment and love.

The Feast at St. Timothy’s: Last night, after Holy Eucharist and before our Lenten Study (The Gospel According to Homer Simpson), we were all treated to Father Glenn’s Feast of St. Patrick. Ooooh, how wonderously talented is our Father T.! Corned beef and cabbage with roasted carrots and potatoes and cornbread on the side. I was first in line the first AND the second time through. Ahhhh, how happy is my stomach and how peaceful my spirit. Thank you, Father Glenn!

A Website: I literally stumbled across this website this morning and I am SO anxious to share! It’s Biblos.com: Search, Read, Study the Bible in Many Languages.

19clueAnother Clue: I purchased the backing fabric for my Easter quilt banner at Ruby Street Quiltworks in Olympia. It is a gloriously divine print of joy and celebration. Yup, it’s all that. And more.

My family at St. Timothy’s is represented by the flowers and the butterfly is the Holy Spirit. Isn’t my family gorgeous?!
