Ta Da! Roundabout Road Picnic Quilt

29RRBlueBrownI am SO happy with the way the Sugar n’ Spice Roundabout Road Picnic Quilt turned out!

Only nine brown/tan fat quarters, 1/2 yard of  bold stripes, nine blue/green fat quarters and one extra yard for the pieced backing and you have enough to make a 50″ square picnic quilt — binding, backing and all!

The pattern for this quilt and it’s Pink Sister (throw size) will be available soon. I’ll keep you posted.

In the meantime, if you want to see this quilt in person, you’ll have to go see Linda at the Sugar n’ Spice in Morton. I bought all the fabrics you see here at her shop, so you may even be able to recreate this quilt — with your own particular twist, of course.

You can take this class (pattern included with the class) at the Quilter’s Junction in Centralia or the Sugar n’ Spice in Morton this Fall.  I will also offer a machine quilting class (see close up below), concentrating on finishing techniques (basting, binding, etc.) and using your walking foot — no free motion quilting required! Easy peasy, ladies.

And no marking required! How? Come to the class and see!

“Send our your light and your truth, that they may lead me, and bring me to your holy hill and to your dwelling.” Psalm 43:3

Below you see my beautiful view this afternoon. Can you imagine a more wondrous day, a more giving God, a happier moment? Aaaahhhh, life is GOOD!

Buddy the WonderDog and I have been held captive in our home by the field of campers in our backyard, but for just a moment, we were set free…
