No, I’m not the old lady, JessieDog is the old lady.
JessieDog is so in love with my granddaughter Emma. “The sun rises and sets in her eyes,” as my grandmother would have said. Since Emma arrived on the scene, JessieDog has even taken to playing with toys again, something I thought she had long since forgotten.
The elk herd slept out in the old orchard next to the house last night. The call of the bull elk is a lonely, eerie sound, but so beautiful and comforting at the same time. Dad says there is a 5-point bull in the herd. I’ve already had one person knocking on my door wanting to know if they can come shoot him. What do you think my answer was?
