My Nikes and (Future) Matching Purse
Lucky, lucky me! My middle son, Mason, works at the Nike Outlet and I shop at a 30% discount. Nike is a great company to work for (especially for a boy who is working his way through college and has a thing for sneaks — he has at least three dozen pair!). Our whole family gets the discount — gramma, grampa, brothers, sister and mom.
My new Amy Butler purse is all cut out and fused. I’m looking forward to finding some studio time — after I meet deadline today — to sew it together.
I just know if I walk in to the Big Board Meeting at the newspaper tomorrow with my coordinating Nikes and Amy Butler Handbag that I’ll surely get a per word raise, right? 😛
Okay, maybe not. But I’ll be rockin’ the look anyway.

Oh! One more thing.
This clipping is the end of a short article I wrote about the Hunter’s Breakfast held on opening day of modern-firearms deer season.
The “one hunter friend from Morton” is actually a quilter friend — who also happens to be very knowledgeable about hunting and was out hunting this weekend with her husband.
